Kelly creates her hand embroidered landscapes with an assortment of threads + yarns bringing depth + interest to each one. They start with a few simple pencil lines and a colour palette for direction, with each stitch, the beautiful prairie scapes come to life!
Each piece is framed in simple white making them perfect for collecting yourself or gifting a lover of living skies + scapes. From stormy turbulent skies to wide open blue, misty sunrises to vibrant sunsets, rolling river hills + valleys to wheat fields as far as the eye can see… you’ll be sure to find a favourite.
Her embroidered landscapes are all named after influential people in her life and community.
Artist Kelly Knight is also the owner, florist + creative mind behind fresh. She has a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts majoring in glass blowing but really found her calling back home in the little community of Eston, the perfect place to raising her family + use her creative vision in her little shop! Only in the last few years has she gotten back into landscapes, her love for the land + skies of the prairies is evident in each piece.
